Fonda Europa prides itself on being the best known restaurant in Granollers. It has two classic rooms and three private lounges where gatherings and other events are held. Since its foundation, in 1771, it has been run by the same family, the Parellada, being in Catalonia the oldest family running the same establishment.
Fonda Europa is renowned for its dedication to Catalan cuisine, with dishes of the day. Rice and stews, as well as their famous “fork breakfast”.
Major personalities have frequented the establishment such as Picasso, Dalí, Tàpies, Miró, and from their visit have been a testimony of great writers such as Cela, Pla, or Manuel Vázquez Montalbán, as quoted in his text Cita en Europa:
