The primordial function of this group was to cure the innumerable patients who arrived at the place from different points of Roman Hispania. The building that is contemplated in the Pla\u00e7a de la Font del Lle\u00f3, is only a small part of the great thermal complex that was in the time of the Romans. This complex was extended, at least, by the Old Hospital, a large part of the Rius and Broquetas spas and the current Pla\u00e7a de la Font del Lle\u00f3.
